Grieving Innocence Original Painting
A hand painted birch wood circle measuring 8" in diameter. This has a thick siding with a circle cut out in the back making it easy to hang on walls or simply stand on a shelf. Sealed in gold leaf and done in a mixture of gouache, acrylic, and colored pencil.
"Grieving Innocence," was made with the thought of aphrodite in mind, and was a therapeutic way to express myself through grief. How I had never asked for grief, no one does, and yet it shows up anyways sometime in the face of tragedy and leaves us reaching and finding our way back to normalcy, intimacy, and seeing the beauty in life again.
